We started our day driving to Salt Lake City temple on a beautiful sunday morning, but little did we know that the weather was going to change.
After we took our pictures at the Salt Lake Temple, Olya felt that 30 bridal pictures would not be enough and that we should go to the Bonneville Salt Flats. I did not realize how far away the Salt Flats were from Salt Lake City so I agreed to go along on another adventure with her. So after a quick bite to eat at Subway we were on our way. After driving for about 35 min I looked at Olie's phone (which has a GPS) and thought to myself that we could take a short cut through Grantsville. So I turned off to take a shortcut and we drove for another 30 min and we pulled up to Dugway Proving Grounds. Dugway is a very secure military base, however I asked them if we could just cut through the base to get to the Salt Flats. They laughed for a min and said that we were "not the first couple to try a get to the Salt Flats" but then they told us to turn around and head back to I-80. I felt really silly because Olya asked me several times if I knew where I was going and I told her several times that I did. So we just decide to take pictures on the side of the road. Maybe sometime down the road we will actually make it to the Salt Flats
